Hope Chapel Koolauloa started as a youth group on the campus of Kahuku High School in 1997. In a years time this youth group moved from the campus of Kahuku High School to the home of Walter and Kehau Santiago. Due to the rash accidents that have plague our tiny North Shore community, this stirred the heart of Walter and his wife to begin a youth night at the Kahuku Community Center. It was in the year of 1998 that the doors opened to any youth in the community that wanted a safe place to have fun, eat great food, and learn how to make right choices by using the Bible as their road map. This Saturday night gathering grew into a family church service. In 1999, on Easter Sunday, Hope Chapel Koolauloa conducted it’s first Sunday Service. In 2003 Hope Chapel moved it’s church ohana to the campus of Kahuku High School. But just two years ago, they have made their move back to the Kahuku Community Center where they now call HOME. In these last years Hope Chapel has empowered and touch many throughout the community and world for Christ. It is the desire of Hope Chapel Ko’olauloa to bring transformation to their homes, neighborhoods, community, state, and the world.
